Tinnitus Symptoms – Not Only the Ringing in Your Ear!

Tinnitus Symptoms – Most Common Tinnitus Symptoms

Tinnitus SymptomsTinnitus is an internal auditory disorder and considered as one of the most elusive health conditions that healthcare professionals face. People suffering from tinnitus periodically or continuously hear noise in the ear. The noise in the ear the tinnitus sufferers hear include ringing, roaring, whooshing, or hissing. The noise can be heard on one ear only, or in both ears.

The noise in the ear or head ranges from low to high pitch and can be heard in a single tone or multi-tonal sound. The sound may be pulsing, intermittent, or constant and can begin suddenly and progressively.

The most common tinnitus symptom is ringing in the ears. But, not all people hear the same ringing sound. Tinnitus symptoms may vary from person to person. Every individual may hear sounds in a completely different form.  Some people may experience hearing erratic or a continuous endless noise. Other tinnitus symptoms may include the following:

Meniere’s Disease

This is a condition that develops symptoms of vertigo, loss of hearing, and tinnitus. The primary cause of this disease remains a secret to healthcare professionals. However, several medical studies claim that the disease can be caused by a significant food allergic reaction and trauma in the inner ear. Among the most common signs of this disease can include the bloated sense of hearing just before the symptom subsides. The discomfort that you may feel can last for an hour up to several hours depending upon the severity of your condition.

In some cases, people suffering from this symptom may experience nausea and even get sick when the symptoms subside.

Acoustic Neuroma

This is a harmless tumor that continually creates tinnitus symptoms. This is a tumor that builds up around the nerves of the inner ear, managing hearing and stability. People with this symptom are suffering tinnitus in just one ear. Other symptoms of this disease include lightheaded and permanent loss of hearing.

It is highly important for this condition to be discovered as early as possible so that it will not grow bigger in the inner ear. If the medical procedure is postponed or unsuccessful, the tumor will continue to develop and it will become more complex to remove it.  The tumor can grow bigger and connect to anxiety, which controls hearing, stability, and facial foundation movement.

Other tinnitus symptoms are objective. This means that sufferers can actually listen to the sound they are hearing. People suffering from this symptom might be able to listen to sounds like swishing in the blood vessels in the neck area. These tinnitus symptoms are often caused by an overactive thyroid gland, growths, anemia, and pregnancy in women.

Tinnitus symptoms are not always a ringing sound. Often times, the symptom may include a clicking noise. This clicking noise is caused by the imbalance in the jaw joint and the sound can be possibly heard by other people. Ringing in the ear is a condition that is extremely hard to live with. It is highly important that you determine tinnitus symptoms as early as possible to prevent your condition from getting worse and treat it immediately.
